Re-Koils have four fingers and three toes, and they are one of the few Kremlings with claws on their hands. They have a yellow belly, and the front of their tail is also yellow. They are the successors to jumping [[Kritter]]s from ''[[Donkey Kong Country]]'' and [[Kaboing]]s from ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]'', though Re-Koils may have taken inspiration from {{iw|wikipedia|Tigger}}, a character from ''{{iw|wikipedia|Winnie-the-Pooh}}'' who is similarly orange and uses his tail as a spring.


Re-Koils usually try to attack the [[Kong]]s by bouncing on their tails and trying to land on them, although some Re-Koils will only bounce up and down in one spot. Since defeating them with a jump requires a good timing, it is actually easier to attack them with a [[cartwheel]] when they land on the ground. Re-Koils replace the jumping [[Kritter]]s from ''[[Donkey Kong Country]]'' and the [[Kaboing]]s from ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2]]''. Some Re-Koils bounce on their tail without getting off the ground. If a Re-Koil lands on [[Dixie Kong]] or [[Kiddy Kong]], that [[Kong]] gets injured. The Kongs can defeat a Re-Koil by either [[Roll Attack|roll]]ing into it just before it lands, jumping onto it, or hitting the Re-Koil with a [[barrel]]. Re-Koils give the same sound effect from being defeated as [[Krook]]s, [[Klinger]]s, and [[Kloak]]s, although not in the [[Donkey Kong Country 3 (Game Boy Advance)|Game Boy Advance version]].
