Ah, you're right. I was mixing it up in my head with the SMB remix that did have that game's underwater theme, and figured the NSMBW medley would have it too. Thanks for checking. 18:53, March 23, 2025 (EDT) | Ah, you're right. Howdy, B700465189a9. I am Nintendo101. I am one of the administrators on the wiki and a major contributor to coverage on the mainline games on the site. I saw you recently created the beacon article. While I appreciate you taking the initiative, please make sure articles are decently thorough before publishing and that distinct subjects are not lumped together. While similar, there was reason why beacons and glowing spots (which I have split off) were not treated as synonyms for the same subject on their respective articles and this reference list I had put together. But even if they were, there is a lot of substantive information from Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Odyssey, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder missing in the article as it was initially published. (For example, the glowing spots in Super Mario Odyssey appears in nearly every kingdom, are tied to Power Moon objects, rumble under Mario's feet, and interact with the dog in the game, but none of this was covered in the article as it was published.) When we publish articles that are missing info, it creates the impression that we do not do our due diligence with research, weakens the quality of our work, and can implicitly make impressions of our site worse than they should be. | |||
Again, I really do appreciate you making these articles, but please make sure they are adequately robust before publishing. If they are not, then perhaps work on it in your sandbox beforehand or ask for a second opinion. Thank you! - Nintendo101 (talk) 12:35, March 24, 2025 (EDT) |
