Template:Portrait-infobox Biff Tannen, the Butthead (Japanese: マッディー Maddī), is one of the many Tannens featured in Back to the Future. His first name is a pun on "biff", which is slang meaning "to hit". His last name is based on the name of his grandfather, Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen.
When [Marty McFly]] enters Lou's Cafe, Biff is focused on harassing George McFly, and does not attack Marty. Marty can either choose to provoke Biff to attack him, or just ignore Biff entirely, as Biff is one of the five optional gallery douches in Back to the Future.
In order to provoke Biff, Marty must stare at Biff, which provokes a hearty "Who ah youse lookin' at, Butthead?". If aimed correctly, it hits Biff and causes him to attack Marty by swinging his fists in a rage. One of Biff's punches causes Marty to lose consciousness. Marty has to pound Biff two more times with a well-aimed sock in order to expose Biff's hubris. Before the third hit, Biff gets even angrier and starts whirling his arms. After his hubris is exposed, Biff becomes vulnerable to the punch of George McFly. If Marty fails to catch him, Biff returns to weightlifting and Marty must hit him with another punching bag to resume capturing him.
