Template:Minigame-infobox Alpine Assault is a 4-Player minigame and a single-player minigame in Test for the Best in Mario Party 8. This minigame is similar to Snow Ride from Mario Party 7.
Introduction
The four players (or one person) will be on snowboard(s), behind the gate, ready to go.
Gameplay
The objective is to get down the hill first. The player controls themselves by turning the Wii Remote. On ramps, if the player presses / and turn, they get a boost of speed when they land. There are obstacles along the way, such as Mr. Blizzards, that can get in the way while going down. The player who crosses the finish line first wins.
Ending
All four players are at the bottom, the winner standing slightly in front of the others, with their boards standing in the snow. The victor does the victory dance. If all four players cross the finish line at the same time or if five minutes pass, the players will be lined up by player order. The characters face the screen and perform their losing animations as "Tie" appears on the screen.
