Names in other languages

Hi. What's your source for your names in other languages? I ask because you've re-added that French name of Paper Macho Bob-omb, which isn't named in-game and comes from internal data, and is not identified as a Parabomb in the English or Japanese files. If it is unofficial, it isn't allowed here. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:59, November 15, 2020 (EST)

Previewing edits

Hello, Pingouinsandwich. When editing, if you'd like to see how your edits affect a page, use the "Show preview" button next to the "Save changes" button. This allows you to check over your edits for any errors and make any additional changes or fixes before you save, which will prevent edits from flooding the page history and recent changes. (If you are on mobile, make sure to check the preview page thoroughly before proceeding to save.) Please try to avoid making excessive, consecutive edits to a single page within a short timespan and instead limit them to as few as possible.

Please try to preview so you avoid making several error-fix edits like this.   Mario JC 05:57, March 2, 2023 (EST)

Uploads

Hello, Pingouinsandwich. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Pingouinsandwich. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

  • {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
  • {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
  • {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
  • {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
  • {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
  • {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
  • {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.
