Fire Up the SS Brass is a minigame in Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. It is unlocked after the player completes Story Mode EX, which is unlocked after the player plays through the regular Story Mode. The minigame features the player controlling the SS Brass and guiding it through a series of 15 tunnels. Each section consists of four tunnels. In the beginning, there are three closed tunnels and only one open one, and the player must guide the ship through the open one. After the second section, all the tunnels appear as open until the last second, after which three close, and the player must react quickly and steer the ship into the only one that remained open. The minigame gets progressively quicker each time. If the player hits the outside of a tunnel, the SS Brass explodes, ending the minigame. The Dance Pad is used to choose the Up, Left, Right, or Down tunnel; a GameCube controller can also be used.
