Welcome, Z3r0 Tw0/Archive 1!

Welcome to the Super Mario Wiki!, the official and most complete wiki for everything Mario. I'm Glitchman, and let me just say that we're glad to have you as a member. If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to post them on the FAQ talk page, or you could ask an experienced user and/or Sysop. If it's a problem that you can't fix yourself (e.g. the Mario Kart DS page needs to be rewritten but I've never played the game), try contacting someone that has experience in that subject.

The following pages provide information and rules about reading, authoring, and participating in the Super Mario Wiki community, so it would be best if you read most of them. If this is your first time visiting, reading the Introduction may help you to get started.

How do I do that?

Things you can do

As you can see, we have plenty of features to offer, on the wiki side and on the community side. Feel free to chat in (you guessed it) the Chatroom, post your ideas and friend codes for games and such on the Forum, and read our community newspaper, the 'Shroom. If you want to get involved in editing and in the community, you may want to:

However, before you just sign up for these things willy-nilly just because you want to be apart of it, read about each one thoroughly before making the decision to sign up. For example, if you choose to write for the 'Shroom community newspaper, you must write your section and turn it in to the director EACH MONTH, so it's actually a big committment.

Don't be afraid to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information was helpful to you, and that you'll have a great experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community. Remember to enjoy your experience here and also have fun!

Also, if you need further help, feel free to leave a message at a welcome committee member's talk page (such as myself).

Sincerely,

Help

Hey Luigi001, sorry to hear you're having some trouble. One of your problems is easily fixed, and it's one I had a lot of trouble with myself when I was new: Instead of doing this Template:Your username here, try making a signature Template:Your username here/sig or sign your comments with ~~(~) or ~~(~~). By saying Template:Your username here, it will link the entire content of your page to whatever page you posted the command on. The same thing would occur if you did Template:Insert article name here. If you need help creating a sig, try going here for help. And if the image(s) you want to add to your userpage are already uploaded on the Mario Wiki, then click on the image(s). It will then show you the name of the image. Then on your userpage, write the command File:(whatever the image's name is here). It also works best on a userpage if you use this command: right (or left). Then at the end of this command, by writing | after the right (or left) command you can add a comment to whatever image you were planning on posting on your page. If the image you want to add to your userpage is not already uploaded on the Mario Wiki, then save the image you want and go to the Upload link on the left toolbar of the Mario Wiki. By clicking "Browse" you can, you guessed it, "Browse" the images that you have saved to your computer. Then you can give it whatever comment and name that you want. OK, I think I covered both of your questions, and if you need any more help feel free to ask ;) And by the way, I know some of my commands ended up looking like templates, but you can see the actual command by viewing the source of this page.   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   23:34, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

Glad I was of assistance :P BTW, glad to see you've nailed making galleries too ;)   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   22:52, 2 June 2008 (EDT)
Naw, you haven't been bothersome! When I joined last year, I was asking the sysops all kinds of questions for months, most of which were very simple like "how do you edit pages?" and all that. Well if you need any more help with anything just ask ;)   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   BTW, if you want to get involved with the community, you might want to join the 'Shroom!

Luigi Fan Club

All you gotta do is sign here with your sig, and post stuff about our favorite green plumber. Or just any old random stuff.  Z3r0 Tw0

Hello, I'm a Luigi fan too from Brazil. Do You want to be my friend?  Super Luigi! Number one!

Since I love Luigi I will join.

Mario Kart Wii Nomination

Yes, I'm the one who nominated it for an FA. Frankly, I don't see what's so bad about it. Read it here, and support it here.  Z3r0 Tw0

Luigi FA nomination

Hey there. "Per..." means "In accordance with...", or "I share the same opinion like...". Also, Featured Articles are not about one's favorite characters. It's about the best articles the wiki has to offer. So if someone opposes the nomination of Luigi, then it doesn't mean that they don't like Luigi, rather it means that the article is not good enough to be featured. RE:Shroom

1:You can make up your own section fro the 'Shroom. The "Fake" stuff go in the Fake News, thought.

2:You can PM your section to me (OR Xzelion, if you register on the Fake News) on the forum. Blitzwing (talk · gnome work)

Hello Luigi001! Well I have been in this same predicament twice before myself, so I have a reasonable answer for you. Since you're not really a n00b anymore and you understand the standards for a good article, if you believe it's not too long of a page you can take the template off. It's not spam if you really believe you fixed the problem. You can ask a sysop if he approves of your editing if you wish, but you are allowed to take the template off.   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   BTW, great new sig :D

Uh, since you can't use the forum, I suppose I could create The 'Shroom page with all the necessary coding crap and wait for you to put the content. --Blitzwing 06:05, 1 July 2008 (EDT)

LOL XD Well I do that sometimes too. And oh, about the status thing, you might want to just look at the source of my or someone else's Status (whichever style you think would be best for you) and just copy the code, and change the message and your username and all that. You'll probably want to make a page like User:Luigi001/Status, and then put the page as a template on the top off your user/user talk pages. And I would interview you for the 'Shroom, but I'm already interviewing User:Dom for August's issue, and I've already done this months, so the soonest I could interview you would be for September's.   Glitchman (talk · contribs)

YES

Yes I draw those, thank you...  Super Luigi! Number one!

Yes, A Very Unusual World Record I Broke

Well, it said what it was on the page, but if you missed it:

I made the world's largest, densest Find-a-Word puzzle (you know, there are words hidden among random letters in a grid). It has 658 words all related to Warcraft III, my favourite japoota (computer) game. The whole grid was hand-ruled, and each square is 4 by 4 millimetres - VERY small, but readable. Also, I made a booklet which listed all words to find, under appropriate categories and in alphabetical order. The booklet is 13 pages long.

File:WF 2.jpg

Should I submit it to Guinness World Records, do you think?

BTW, I like Luigi, because green is awesome. And he's kind of cooler than Mario.

However, you listed one of your dislikes as the Pokemon series....that I do not agree with. You didn't even say why - do you have a decent reason? DO YOU? DO YOU?!!!!!!!! Tell me!

OK, so you want to make an archive...well if I tell you how, you owe me one scented pinecone! XD Well anyway, to make it look more professional you might want to make a table of your archives on your main talk page, and if you want to make one you can just copy mine and change the links and colors and things. But you don't need to make this table (you can see that Xzelion made his table differently). Making the archive, you should just copy everything that's on your current talk page to your first archive (which most users tend to name: User talk:*themselves*/Archive 1) So other users don't edit your archive(s), you should add a talkarchive template and add a link to your current talk page. Then you could just write your welcoming header on the talk of your talk page from scratch or copy it from your old one. *out of breath* Lol, now you should be able to make your archive.   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   Special:Userlogout:You know, you really should join Userpedia!!
Sweet pinecone!! Smells like lemon XP But don't ask me for sprites, I'm a terrible spriter. If you want someone's help creating sprites, you should go to Userpedia and describe what kind of sprites you want in the "Sprite Requests" taskbar.   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   I'm using the pinecone as an airfreshener!
Lol XD But if it's an N64 game that you want, I would suggest Star Fox if you don't have it :P But if you either already have it or just want one of those two, I'd get Kirby 64. Paper Mario is FTL :(   Glitchman (talk · contribs)
Well don't not get it just cuz I didn't like it, Paper Mario was very popular :P And if you're not sure about Star Fox, if you have Brawl you can play a demo of it for free.   Glitchman (talk · contribs)
Well on Userpedia you can create your userpage, which is like the userpage you have here on MW, but you can also create an article, which list your appearances, allies and enemies, history and hobbies, etc. Your userpage should be your own page, but anyone can edit your article. Userpedia is also a place to create comics (many comics you may hear about here, like Wiki's End, Legends of the Fallenstar, When Sysops Attack, etc.), games, and stories, and it even has its own forum and chatroom. Most users go there because it has faster loading times then here ;)   Glitchman (talk · contribs)
LOL, yes, I know its weird but most users have all of their Wiki allies and enemies on their articles, which is ironically exactly what was banned from MW XD And BTW, you don't need to rename anything, just make a new page and put everything from your old page on it, then on your old page you make it into a new page. *dizzy*   Glitchman (talk · contribs)   I WANT that goat-scented pinecone!! :(

Hey, may I made The Wiki Glob chapter 2?
