Vine Eaters are enemies only appearing in Donkey Kong 3. They only appear when the timer runs out, and are immune to Stanley's bug spray. True to their name, they will chew through the vines suspending Donkey Kong from the roof of the greenhouse. Stanley must defeat DK before the Vine Eaters devour the vines, or the ape will fall and Stanley will lose a life.
