Cage Match is a Bowser Jr. minigame in Mario Party 9. Its name is a reference to cage matches, a type of professional wrestling.

IntroductionEdit

The camera focuses on Bowser Jr. as he climbs to the center of the field and punches the revolving section of the fence, switching him to the other side.

GameplayEdit

The pair must try to catch Bowser Jr. before time runs out. The players can climb around the fence, and they can change sides by punching a revolving section of the fence. When a player approaches Bowser Jr., he climbs much more quickly, unless he is stunned. Bowser Jr. typically does not speed up if a player on the opposite side approaches him. Players can stun Bowser Jr. by punching him from the opposite side of the fence. If the players fail to catch Bowser Jr. within 30 seconds, he wins.

EndingEdit

If a player catches Bowser Jr., they knock him off the fence.
