Dodge Bomb is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 5. Its name and gameplay come from the real-world sport of dodgeball.

IntroductionEdit

Official art of Luigi avoiding Bob-ombs in Dodge Bomb

The first player picks up a Bob-omb standing in front of them, then throws it into the center of the town square, shocking the other three players.

GameplayEdit

The goal of the minigame is to pick up and throw Bob-ombs at the opposing players while trying to avoid getting hit by Bob-ombs that are thrown by the others. After a while, the Bob-ombs currently in the square flash red, designating that they are about to explode. As time passes, more and more Bob-ombs emerge from the houses surrounding the area. The last player standing wins. However, if two or more players outlast the time limit or if the last two players are eliminated simultaneously, the minigame ends in a draw.

EndingEdit

The winning player performs their victory animation where they are, and any Bob-ombs left on the screen explode. If the minigame ends in a draw, the remaining Bob-ombs will stay on the screen, not exploding.

ControlsEdit

  •   – Move
  •   – Grab/throw Bob-ombs

In-game textEdit

  • Rules"Pick up and throw Bob-ombs at your opponents while avoiding the ones being thrown at you. The last one standing wins."
