Peek-a-Boo is a 1-vs.-3 minigame found in Mario Party DS. Its name is a pun on "peekaboo," and it takes place in one of the rooms of a mansion.
IntroductionEdit
In this minigame, the Wanted sign on the top screen shows which type of Boo to capture depending on what the Boo is wearing or what it looks like. On the Touch Screen, a Boo that looks like the one on the Wanted poster pops out from under the table. The Boo is surprised and hides back under shortly after, beginning the minigame.
GameplayEdit
The solo player has a larger screen than the other three players to scan for the Boos, while the other three players acquire a smaller screen that browses slower, so they have to work together. Both sides' objective is to catch the Boos until there are no Boos in the area. There is an odd number of Boos that the players have to capture lurking in the area. The players must find one of the Boos that has the same appearance as the one on the Wanted poster. There is one particular obstacle—namely, objects in the room that Boos can go in to hide from players' eyesight for a moment. If a player taps the wrong Boo, the Boo comes up into the screen, closely blocking off with its face for a quick moment, then moves fast for a moment. After the last Boo is captured, the players count the Boos that they captured. Whichever side gathers more Boos in the minigame wins. Despite there being an odd number of Boos, the minigame ends in a tie if five minutes pass with both sides having the same number of Boos caught.
ControlsEdit
