"It's[sic] softness makes it ideal for applying powder to the face. More useful than, say, a brick." | |
First appearance | Paper Mario: Sticker Star (2012) |
- “Luxurious, if a bit dusty, this lush body pillow was likely reclined upon by royalty. It even SMELLS like royalty.”
- —Sticker Museum plaque, Paper Mario: Sticker Star
The Powder Puff is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is hidden in Shy Guy Jungle. In the area to the right of the final room with one of the Bridge Parts, rather than hopping across the red, carnivorous flower to the right, Mario must stay on the left side and hop over the bushes toward the background. Moving away to the left reveals a secret area with the Powder Puff in the northwest corner. Once collected, it remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 240 coins and sold as a sticker for 20 coins.
As a sticker, the Powder Puff takes up only one square in Mario's Album. When it is used in battle, it appears in front of Mario, effectively defending him from a majority of enemy attacks for three turns. If an enemy uses a liquid-based attack, the Powder Puff soaks it up and wrings it out toward the enemies. After this happens or three turns pass, the Powder Puff leaves.
The Powder Puff can also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #47, alongside the Car Sponge and the regular Sponge. Its description notes its delicacy and confuses it for a pillow, with the real Pillow being mistaken for a trampoline.
