It's a full on remake, or new arrangement.

Since there's no official confirmation that this is a reference, I'm removing it.

I get that Riverside Park is jungle-themed, but aside from the bassline (which is clearly meant to reference DK, not Mario Kart), nothing else resembles it.

Given that, if they were to pick one of the themes from the RPG outings, why would they go with a random Buzzy Beetle theme?
