Official SpellingEdit

Though this page is titled "Boo Repellent," the in-game spelling in both the USA version and the European version in English mode show it as "Boo Repellant" with an A instead of an E.

Moved, thanks.  Ray Trace(T|C) 21:52, 11 July 2017 (EDT)
If this is the name used by the game, shouldn't it be the one that we use? MarioWiki:Naming even says that the game takes priority over the manual. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 21:57, 11 July 2017 (EDT)
Is "repellant" a misspelling though? If it is, then the correct spelling should take priority.  Ray Trace(T|C) 22:00, 11 July 2017 (EDT)
It's apparently a very rarely-used spelling. If the games does say "repellant" then this can be moved back, I went by the manual. --  The 'Shroom 22:04, 11 July 2017 (EDT)
I'm not sure if this form of spelling is consistent throughout the game. Like, in the item selection screen just before you use an item, does it still say "Boo Repellant"?  Ray Trace(T|C) 22:08, 11 July 2017 (EDT)
That doesn't show the name of the item, the only other time it shows is the explanation for it, where it is also spelled with an A. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/304819207194017792/334518231966547980/GLideN64_MarioParty3_006.bmp . Also in the script for MPIQ, if it asks about an item: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/304819207194017792/334519563503009792/GLideN64_MarioParty3_007.bmp

This AgainEdit

It's been moved and reverted a few times but it should still have its actual name as the page title.

That it should, especially seeing as how "repellant" is an accepted spelling anyway. Niiue (talk) 05:16, 19 September 2017 (EDT)
