I added a Trivia section, along with the fact that he calls himself "Jr. Koopa" at one point. any insight to why this may be? Translation error perhaps? Luke the Almighty 22:40, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
Possible to skip Forever Forest fight?Edit
I read somewhere that it's possible to skip this fight. Apparently, what you're supposed to do is go back to Toad Town AS SOON AS it's possible to create the warp pipe to and from Bow's Mansion, but before Bow joins the team. (If you go back any time after Bow joins, the fight will trigger.) Then you can use the warp pipe to get to and from the mansion without going back through the forest; thus skipping the fight.
Two things - can anyone confirm if this is true? And secondly, if it is true, will the fight be skipped permanently after a certain point in the game (such as after you fight him the time after that)? Or can you always do this fight, even much later in the game, simply by walking back from the mansion instead of using the warp pipe? Avengah 05:08, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- nope.avi. I've just checked: as soon as you get boots the game triggers Jr. Troopa to appear in Forever Forest. SWFlash
My apologiesEdit
Sorry. Didn't see the Field Tattle in the enemy box. --Dus T. 19:31, 22 February 2011 (EST)
Jr. Troopa Picture ErrorEdit
I'd like to report that on Jr. Troopa's second battle, he doesn't have a spike on his head. He is hiding in his shell on his second battle. I know this because in my game, he hides in his shell. Should we change the picture to where he's hiding in his shell? Thanks. -User:O O
third and fourth battle skippable?Edit
It is possible to avoid the third and the fourth battle aginst Jr. Troopa by activating the pipes connected to Boo's Mansion/Yoshi's Village in Toad Town Tunnels before completing the 3/5 chapter. Therefore Mario can go back to Toad Town through pipes after completing the chapter without meeting Jr. Troopa.
Is that possible? activating the pipes connected to Boo's Mansion and Yoshi's Village requires the Super Boots and Sushie respectively, but once you get them Jr. Troopa immediately appears in the Forever Forest fork and the sea between Toad Town and Lavalava Island. Note that you need to return to Toad Town to activate the pipes. It's impossible to activate the pipes near Boo's Mansion and in Yoshi's Village from there in the first place. Final Battle Mechanics?Edit
What dictates Jr. Troopa's form changes in his final battle? Is it that once he loses a certain amount of health in one go he changes, or is it that once he is below a certain HP? Is he able to skip forms? Which forms get which moves? Jdrawer (talk) 00:22, 17 December 2018 (EST)
Strategy GuideEdit
- The strategy guide indicates that Jr. Troopa isn't fought in Chapters 3 and 5 until the end of said chapters instead of when you get the Super Boots/Sushie respectively. Probably because you'd have no real reason to go back to the Forever Forest/Toad Town Docks before you beat the respective chapters... PrincessPeachFan (talk) 23:36, January 8, 2023 (EST)
- He definitely does appear at the points mentioned in the article, clarified myself in my latest playthrough. Nightwicked Bowser 06:08, January 9, 2023 (EST)
- Yeah, I know. I was just relating what the strategy guide has listed (and this is the same strategy guide which calls the Bucket and Scarf "Marvelous Bucket" and "Fabulous Scarf" which makes me think that it was maybe written during the pre-release days). Plus, they say Jr. Troopa uses all of his tricks in his final battle whereas YouTube videos show him just using a few (normal, winged with spikes, wand). - The guide is also wrong about the last battle; everytime I play matches with what you described from YouTube videos. Nightwicked Bowser 13:23, January 9, 2023 (EST)
