Where could this template be used? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 13:32, 7 June 2007 (EDT)

The best use I've seen is to slyly insert this in a character's page, and use it list all their appearances. It saves space and such. Useful for the big eight, who appear in more games than anyone.SaudyTalk!

HeadlinesEdit

This template is creating problems when there are headlines in the content. When clicking on the edit button next to one of those headlines, you edit the template instead of the article. Additionally, any further edit buttons outside the scroll box in the article link to a wrong section. (Try it on the Toad article after the scroll box). What can be done to fix that? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:34, 11 June 2007 (EDT)

Unfortunately, the only way to fix this is to use the magic word __NOEDITSECTION__, which I just added, which removes all [edit] links on a page. If you are working on a section exclusively and don't want to preview the whole page, try using this address in the url:
http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Pagename&action=edit&section=#

Where # is the # of the section header in the table of contents down. For example, if a page consisted of 1, 2, 2.1, 2.2, 3, 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.2, 3.3, and 4, section 3 would be 2.1, section 7 = 3.1.1. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 15:50, 11 June 2007 (EDT)

Problem, againEdit

unfortunately there is another problem. the Padding parameter removes the scroll bar within internet explorer program, so, there's no scroll bar in the template, and could be uncofortable moving there without it. in my opinion, the padding atribbute should be removed. ¢oincollctor rsitem209.png

That's a good point, but the padding element is important in preventing several other errors that may occur.SaudyTalk!

IEEdit

Sucks by the way. Anyway, I'll get around to fixing this issue some time this weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience.SaudyTalk!

Nix on that, I think Steve's fixed it.SaudyTalk!

Scroll box not working properly?Edit

In this section, the scroll box doesn't seem to show all of the comments. But strangely enough, those comments are still present in the coding and the template seems to be used correctly. Does anybody know why it isn't displaying those comments?--Knife (talk) 14:37, 25 May 2011 (EDT)

I fixed it. SW Flash did not put nowiki tags around this: |, so everything after it was blanked. After adding those tags, the comments appeared. Mario4Ever (talk)
