Metal Gear Characters

Should articles of Octacon, Mei Ling and Colonel be made? They appear to make a large impact on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. My Bloody Valentine This was definetely a stupid question.

Well, they appear in the game, no? so...--Caith Sith 10:39, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
Considering that we have articles on Peppy Hare and Slippy Toad, they should have, too. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:10, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

So, just to ask, as this is named Category: Metal Gear Solid Series, what do we do if a Metal Gear element not from one of the Solid games (like Ghost Babel or Ac!d or something) is implemented into Brawl? -- Sir Grodus

The official site called the series Metal Gear Solid, that is why we named the category the Metal Gear Solid Series. Ghost Babel and Ac!d may be sub-series of the Metal Gear Solid series, but they are still part of the Metal Gear Solid series as a whole. What if something from Metroid Prime gets put into Brawl? That still goes under Category: Metroid Series, as Metroid Prime is just a sub-series of the Metroid series. If you consider Ghost Babel and Ac!d a differant series from the Metal Gear Solid series, I guess Mario Kart and Mario Party are completely differant series from the Mario series. My Bloody Valentine
The Metal Gear Solid series is a sub-series of the main Metal Gear series, just as the Metroid Prime series is a sub-series of the main Metroid series. Metal Gear Solid is a sub-series, not the main series. Just pointing that out. -- Son of Suns
I know that, but, to the Marioverse point of view, the Metal Gear Solid series would be the main series, as Super Smash Bros. Brawl calls the series Metal Gear Solid, not Metal Gear. So, in actuallity, Metal Gear is the main series, from the Marioverse view, Metal Gear Solid is the main series. My Bloody Valentine
Assuming that doesn't change when the actual game is released. ;) -- Son of Suns
Are you referring to the Trophies now? They will probably say Snake's first appearance was Metal Gear. My Bloody Valentine
The Marioverse? That makes it sound like the Mario series is the main aspect of Smash Bros.. As strange as this sounds, saying that it takes place in the Marioverse seems... selfish. The Smash Bros. series is a crossover of many different Nintendo series and 3rd party quests, so you are going to have to share. ElementGodX
I know this discussion is ancient, but hopefully, the higher-ups will read this. The series is referred to as "Metal Gear" in the Smash series. Look at this video of a SSBB Trophy gallery tour. The trophies are categorized by which series they are from and you can see the name of the series above the small images of trophies. Look:
http://revver.com/video/676320/ssbb-trophy-tour/
The name of the series are in Japanese, but for the Metal Gear trophy category (the one with Metal Gear RAY as a trophy), it says "メタルギア", which is translated in romaji as "Metaru Gia", which is how the Japanese say "Metal Gear". If it truly was "Metal Gear Solid", it would have said "メタルギアソリッド ("Metaru Gia Soriddo"). So, I think the "Metal Gear Solid Series" category name for this webpage should remove "Solid" from the title. ElementGodX
