Ghost Valley 2 is the second course of the Flower Cup in Super Mario Kart. Like its predecessor, it is a dark bridge surrounded by Boos. This course reappears in Mario Kart: Super Circuit as the third course of the Extra Flower Cup, in Mario Kart Wii as the third course of the Shell Cup, and in Mario Kart Tour starting with the 2022 Mario vs. Luigi Tour.

This Ghost Valley is longer than the first, and features more sudden drop offs and sharp turns. Like other Ghost Valley courses, the blocks on the sides of the bridges can be knocked off the course on contact, making it easier to fall off the course. It also features a zipper at the end of the course, which may save time but is difficult to use, since it is placed right after a curve at the edge of the track. Just after the zipper there is a ramp with a ? Panel behind it. The Feather is of use at this course again; it can help the player to jump over the gap soon after the start, while others would normally take the regular track around (where the two ? Panels are).

Ghost Valley 2 reappears in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and is the third track of the Extra Flower Cup. It uses the background from Boo Lake. The Dash Panel and ramp in front of the last Item Box, as well as the legs holding up the track, were removed.

Ghost Valley 2 also reappears in Mario Kart Wii as the third race of the Shell Cup. Since there are no Feathers in the game, a ramp was placed at the shortcut, although light and middleweights do not need a boost to get across, while heavyweights need to perform a trick to do so. In Time Trials, the blocks on the side do not fall off when the player bumps into them, instead doing so as the race progresses. Silhouettes of what appear to be buildings resembling Luigi's Mansion can be seen in the background. This is the shortest course in the game. As such, the expert staff ghost for this course is the only ghost data in Mario Kart Wii to be less than a minute long.

This course and Moo Moo Meadows are the only courses in Mario Kart Wii where a Tournament did not take place.

Shortcut

When boosting with a Mushroom or charging a Mini-Turbo into the pole next to the finishing line, the player's vehicle will clip the pole and be sent flying over the bottomless pit, thus skipping a large part of the course. The alignment needs to be on the left side of the right pole.

Ghost Valley 2 was first shown to reappear in Mario Kart Tour during the 2020 Halloween Tour on an announcement banner[1][2]. The course would later make its proper debut in the 2022 Mario vs. Luigi Tour, forty-nine tours later.

The visual changes made to SNES Ghost Valley 1 were also applied to this course. A Glide Ramp was added near the end of the course, which is reversed when playing on SNES Ghost Valley 2R. In this course's T variant, a road has been added taking drivers across the abyss towards the middle of the course, leading into a glide ramp. A wooden cutout of Boos has been added at the ramp shortcut, similar to SNES Ghost Valley 1.

The course is a favorite of Peach (Happi), Penguin Mario, Luigi (Golf), Mario (Samurai), Kitsune Luigi, Toadette (Astronaut), Petey Piranha, and the Cat, Dry Bowser, Hammer Bro, and Rocky Wrench Mii Racing Suits. It can also be a favorite of Pink Toad (Pit Crew) if he reaches level 6 and Petey Piranha (Gold) if he reaches level 8. As with other courses in the game, Ghost Valley 2 has a reverse variant, a trick variant, and a reverse/trick variant referred to as Ghost Valley 2R, Ghost Valley 2T, and Ghost Valley 2R/T respectively; the former two were introduced alongside the regular variant in the 2022 Mario vs. Luigi Tour, while the latter was added in the 2022 Halloween Tour.

For this course's tour appearances, see List of SNES Ghost Valley 2 tour appearances in Mario Kart Tour.
