foo or Foo?[edit]

Why are these guys called 'foo' when a level name calls them 'Foo'? Pallukun (talk) 19:35, March 3, 2020 (EST)

Because the Super Mario Odyssey capture log calls them Ty-foos. TheDarkStar Sprite of the Dark Star from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey 19:35, March 3, 2020 (EST)
Also because the Super Mario 3D World Prima guide calls them Ty-foos, strongly suggesting that "Ty-Foo" was merely a capitalization via level title in the first place. LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:48, March 5, 2020 (EST)

Relation to Foo[edit]

So, why are we removing Foo from Comparable? No, the "air blowing" isn't the only thing in common. They probably are both derived from Fwoosh, but another thing they have in common is the appearance. I'm not saying they're derived, they're just comparable. --An unused sprite of Vivian in Super Paper Mario. FanOfYoshiArtwork of Rainbow Mario from Super Mario Galaxy. 13:58, November 19, 2021 (EST)

I think that was before Relatives was in more common use, but being that they're both derived from Fwoosh, it's redundant to list both under Comparable by extension, given how most variants are structured. The main physical similarity is their lips, but otherwise act entirely differently. LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:52, November 20, 2021 (EST)
