See the block log and block time remaining.

Making floods of edits[edit]

Hi. Concerning your recent edits to the World and Paper Mario (series) articles, please remember to take caution before making many consecutive edits to a single page, as that falls under level one offenses of our warning policy. If you want to see a preview of your edits to a page, click the "Show preview" button (to the right of the "Save changes" button) and you'll be shown a preview of your changes. Thanks! Reminder[edit]

Please stop making major changes without discussion on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

I know this is a bit belated, but please don't split off whole sections of pages like what you did with the List of unreleased media article unless you're certain that the community has your back. If you want to drum up support for splitting off the Freedom section into its own article, then start a proposal at MarioWiki:Proposals. Thank you. Previewing edits / signing[edit]

Hello, Big Super Mario Fan. When editing, if you'd like to see how your edits affect a page, use the "Show preview" button next to the "Save changes" button. This allows you to check over your edits for any errors and make any additional changes or fixes before you save, which will prevent edits from flooding the page history and recent changes. (If you are on mobile, make sure to check the preview page thoroughly before proceeding to save.) Please try to avoid making excessive, consecutive edits to a single page within a short timespan and instead limit them to as few as possible.
Hello, Big Super Mario Fan. Please remember to sign your comments on talk pages by typing four tildes at the end: ~~~~

On mobile mode, please look over the preview page before going ahead to submit the edit next time. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 03:27, May 10, 2024 (EDT)

There are some problems I could'nt fix. Sorry for that.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Big Super Mario Fan (talk).

I can help you with that, but first I'd like to know if you have a link to the tweet where Nintendo said the Mario Golf series actually started with Mario Golf N64. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 07:30, May 10, 2024 (EDT)

Paper character articles[edit]

For future reference, it was decided by a proposal that Paper character articles only cover their appearances in Paper Jam because that game treats them as seperate characters to the regular counterparts that they appear alongside with. The proposal also decided that these articles will not have any Paper Mario series appearances so your edits on Paper Bowser Jr. were reverted because of that.
EDIT:The proposal in question, couldn't find it at first. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 18:03, May 10, 2024 (EDT)

Warning[edit]

Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (making drastic changes without discussion and continuing to make excessive edits to a single page) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

I understand you're trying to be helpful but you are jumping the gun with your recent edits. For NSMBU Deluxe, We don't repeat information on reissue pages for content that's already from the original game, and in regards to Super Mario (series), this is why you need to at least get consensus first; even if the website lists the remakes as part of the main series, the reorganisation creates an awkward split between the "main" remakes and the rest (not to mention the Mario Portal having a different list). Please clarify/discuss first before making giant restructuring edits like these.

Also, stop making too many edits to a single page; these are flooding the history pages. In situations like these, plan out what you want to change and make them in fewer large edits rather than making a string of edits as you go, and use the preview function (I suggest editing in desktop mode so you can edit the entire page at once using the "edit" tab at the top of the page). Okay I've read through all of it. Thanks for the tipps. About the Super Mario series. I've made a proposal, because I think should be just two categories Mainline Games and Other Games/Spin offs. It shouldn't matter if its a new game, a remake, a remaster, a port or a collection. You can read it in the description anyway.

Userpage[edit]

Did you copy-paste most of the text in your userpage from mine? If so, I'd like you to rewrite your userpage in your own words as this counts as plaigarism. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 04:09, May 13, 2024 (EDT)

I just used your article as a base. But I wrote about myself. It isn't completely finished yet.

Big Super Mario Fan (talk) 05:33, May 13, 2024 (EDT) Big Super Mario Fan

I'd honestly prefer you to start again from scratch, copy pasting someone else's work and changing words around to suit you without permission is not acceptable. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 06:27, May 13, 2024 (EDT)

Okay. I will do as you wish. Big Super Mario Fan (talk) 06:32, May 13, 2024 (EDT) Big Super Mario Fan

Proofreading[edit]

Not only should you preview mid-edit, you need to check over your edits after making them. A number of your edits have left behind red links to non-existent articles. If there are any red links, don't simply leave the page; make sure to fix them so they link to the correct page, or remove the link entirely if it's an unnecessary link like "animated film". Don't hesitate to ask if you're not sure about anything, and consider looking through the rest of the Help pages. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 11:19, May 15, 2024 (EDT)

Yeah, no. This might actually deserve a {{lastwarn}}. But under no circumstances do you tell someone that "[their] arguments just suck." That is completely unnecessarily rude, especially considering the fact that you were the only person arguing your viewpoint, meaning you were essentially directing that towards everyone else on the site, and especially so since you had just before insulted people both directly and passive-aggressively for trying to rerail a different discussion. Do not do that again. (Also, for the record, Bow is a major party member in the first Paper Mario, which you would know if you were as knowledgeable on the games as you were acting as though you were in that debate). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:41, May 16, 2024 (EDT)

Well for the record he was rude to me first. I just wrote the truth. I didn't mean everyone. But yeah I will try to not write something like this again. Yeah thanks for the explanation. I don't know that because I never played Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Comments[edit]

Please format your comments properly. Most of your double linebreaks are not needed (do not end your comments with a double linebreak with a signature; the signature should instead end the comment without any formatting changes except for a space after the comment) and serve to unnecessarily extend the length of the page. Use doubleline breaks instead to break up paragraphs. Also, please use one linebreak coupled with : indents to directly reply to users' comments. If you must reply to multiple comments, do it through paragraphs. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 21:04, May 16, 2024 (EDT)

Last warning[edit]

Lastwarn.svg
This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki.
If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Do not enact proposals before the deadline or makes changes identical to the overarching goals set by your proposal.[1] You currently have one proposal related to the changes you are making ("Merge Ports, Remakes, Remasters, Collections etc. into Main series") and it is strongly advised you do not make edits in this fashion while this proposal is ongoing. Please review MarioWiki:Warning policy and your prior warnings and proceed with caution. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! Mario Party series thing[edit]

Hey Big Super Mario Fan, I have noticed a while ago that you have merged lists on several series pages together, before your actual proposal about this ("Merge Ports, Remakes, Remasters, Collections etc. into Main series") has ended (and even if it did, it would not have gone through anyway since it only had 1 support against 14 opposes). I specifically want to talk about the Mario Party series though, since you basically put in every handheld title but Mario Party-e in the list with all the console titles and retitled that "Main series". Ignoring the fact that this isn't even covered in your proposal at all (which means this shouldn't be done even if your proposal successfully ended)... why are you considering the handheld titles as mainline? Given that Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars ONLY cover content from Mario Party 1-10, without any from the handheld titles, that should confirm that not even Nintendo themselves view the handheld titles as mainline titles. Moreover, Mario Party DS is also the only one of the handheld titles that actually plays like the originals: the other titles all feature completely different gameplay, especially Mario Party Advance, which is more single-player focused. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 13:25, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

It doesn't have anything to do with a Proposal. I just listed the Mario Party games like Nintendo does.

Big Super Mario Fan (talk) 17:28, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

Sigh... two things:
  1. "It doesn't have anything to do with a Proposal." That does not make it better. You do realize that considering every handheld Mario Party game but one a mainline title is perhaps a bigger change than considering every rerelease of a game to be a mainline title, or at the very least on the same level. And so, this also needs a proposal, or at the very least needs to be discussed. You can't just make these big changes as if it's nothing!
  2. Yeah uh, the Mario Portal's History page that you've provided? That doesn't only list mainline Mario Party titles, or only Mario Party titles: it actually lists every game in the Super Mario franchise, without any sort of distinction. Using THAT as your source of every Mario Party title being a mainline Mario Party title is downright ridiculous, because, as I just said, it doesn't make any sort of distinction between any of these titles. Nowhere does it say which ones are mainlines, spinoffs or rereleases to which series, or which ones belong to which subseries to begin with. You might as well say that Super Mario Strikers is a mainline Super Mario title just because "Super Mario" is in the title, AND is listed here as well. It's very faulty logic. I've already stated here that using the Mario Portal as a source for what counts as a mainline Super Mario title doesn't say anything because it just haplessly lists every Mario title without making distinctions, and the same applies to what counts as mainline Mario Party games.
If you wanted to actually list Mario Party games like Nintendo does... again, they do that in Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars. Also, just so you know, basically the reason we have divided Mario Party titles by home console game and handheld game is because we're unsure where games such as Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars fall into, given they're still home console releases that play like the classic Mario Party games from 1 to 8, but aren't numbered. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 18:35, May 18, 2024 (EDT)
Actually, Mario Portal does make distinctions between series, there's an option on that page to filter by specific series. But yeah, I'm not sure that makes it worth reorganising the Mario Party games over it, they probably just forgot about Mario Party-e's existence. There's also the oddity of "Super Mario RPG" being listed as a series containing only the original game and its remake, while the two Mario + Rabbids games, which we do have a series page for, are the only games listed there to not be classified in a series. Asking others users to vote in your proposals[edit]

Hi! According to MarioWiki:Courtesy, you're not allowed to ask other users to vote in proposals. Some examples of this are here and here. Please don't do this anymore. Thanks! link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 18:29, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

Proposal vote solicting[edit]

One of the bullet points in MarioWiki:Courtesy#Discourteous behavior reads "(Users should not) solicit votes from other users. Do not ask other users to vote for anything, period. While this is mainly directed at proposals, it applies to FAs, elections, and any other voting that takes place on the Super Mario Wiki. Even if you don't explicitly ask your friends to support your cause (or to join you in opposing something), simply contacting them makes it look like you're fishing for votes in your favor. The only time you are allowed to draw someone's attention to a vote is when a proposal concerns a subject that is important to them. Far from an act of discourtesy, giving them a heads-up about some possible changes being made to that subject would be a very considerate thing to do. Furthermore, if the validity or rationale behind someone's vote is being questioned, you can contact the voter and ask them to check back in on the matter, which may result in them changing their vote." Therefore, please do not leave messages in users' talk pages asking to vote in your proposals. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 18:30, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

@Nightwicked Bowser

Sorry, but I didn't know that. I haven't read the rules for this wiki. There are far to many. I won't do it anymore.

Now I'm banned for 2 weeks.

I was blocked today. But, you know what? I'll be back soon. Of course I'll think about it again and maybe I should read the rules. I'll have to try it again in 2 weeks. Hopefully with more success. But one last question? What happens to my proposals?

Big Super Mario Fan (talk) 21:37, May 18, 2024 (EDT)

Your proposals still go on, although your vote won't count because you're blocked. If the proposals were to pass, it'd be up to the supporters to enact them. link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 21:41, May 18, 2024 (EDT)
