Talkatoo may not be male[edit]
Talkatoo is never referenced by other characters in Super Mario Odyssey, so pronouns are never applied to the bird in-game. On page 69 of The Art of Super Mario Odyssey, the authors/translators exclusively use "it" when referring to Talkatoo, suggesting the bird's sex is ambiguous.
