Hello, all of you readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to the theater! Did you enjoy the curtain installed by our very own Lakituthequick (talk) on the main page? Our deluxe, premium-quality curtain is equipped with the latest technology; it uses cookies to remain open for thirty minutes after you last opened it. Don't fret if you're a frequent user of the back button, but don't fret if you want to watch that curtain open up again, either! It's designed for all kinds in mind.

Now that you have a peek behind the curtain as to the workings of the curtain, I can properly introduce our summer special issue. This year, The Super Mario Bros. Movie released in theaters, and Nintendo's second attempt at bringing the plumber to the big screen proved a much greater commercial success than the first. In honor of Mario making it to the silver screen and finding such success, we've themed this issue after movies and cinema! We've got eleven spacious projection rooms, counting this one, with a variety of great shows on display, from all-time classics like Critic Corner and Fun Stuff to some special features like Challenger Approaching by Roserade (talk) and the Community Awards Dossier.

In addition, we have a very special feature for you, an exclusive look at something in the works here at The 'Shroom Studios, prepared for you by Mr. Edo (talk) and GBA (talk). Please, direct your attention to projection room number nine and go forth and see what's Coming Soon to a theater near you. You don't want to miss this one! It's a spectacular!

Now, it's about time that I let you go get your popcorn buttered and see the show, but I really would like to give one more round of applause to Lakituthequick (talk), GBA (talk), and Mr. Edo (talk) for their amazing work on the art and technical aspects of this issue. They have done an outstanding job giving this issue a silver-screen feel. Thank you, you three!

Alright, it's almost time for the show to begin! Before you go off, though, you need to get your tickets, so stop by the ticket counter and hear what Waluigi Time has to say to you this month! He has some important announcements regarding Awards this year, so listen carefully, please!

THE AWARDS ARE HERE! EVERYONE VOTE! I should probably elaborate on that, otherwise this is going to be a real short set of notes.

Hello there, 'Shroom readers! I am now shilling for Awards here for the third consecutive issue, but this is probably the most important part of Awards season besides the ceremony itself! As of today, June 17th, the Community Awards have officially opened! This year, the voting has changed, so the Community Awards will only be open for one week, starting June 17th. So basically, make sure you vote now, you don't want to miss your chance! To account for the decreased voting time, you will be able to vote for up to four nominees at once, so be sure to spread the love around! You also don't have to use all four votes if you don't want to - you can still just vote for one, or even two or three. Whatever you do, just be sure to vote! You can find the polls and details on all nominees over on the painstakingly built Community Awards Dossier.

It's also the second and final week of voting for the Mario and Fail Awards! If you voted last week, you'll be able to vote again this week! If you didn't vote last week, now's your chance to fix that and vote this week! They're all up on the anniversary page waiting for you to click on things. Let us know what you like (or don't like) about everyone's favorite plumber.

And as long as we're talking about Awards, how about considering signing up for a presentation? As of writing, there's still 14 slots available, a number that I hope will be outdated soon after publication. There's extra time to work on presentations this year, and small-scale presentations are absolutely fine and encouraged, so don't worry about making a massive production. It's a great opportunity to let your creativity shine and experience some fun times with the community!

That's all for now. Enjoy the issue, and don't forget about AWAAAARDS
