The 'Shroom Spotlight

Hello readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to Spotlight. Spotlight is a community project which aims to fix up the articles on the wiki which have issues. These issues can range from poor writing, to a lack of images, to even just needing a credible source.

We're right in the middle of summer, which means it's probably just too hot. Instead of cooking yourself, how about staying in the air conditioning and working on some wiki articles?

Sparks (talk) created an article for ? Balloon, and also uploaded the missing images on Gear Getaway. Refreshing Herb saw a major expansion courtesy of ThePowerPlayer (talk), and thanks to Fawfulthegreat64 (talk), we now have a rendered model for File:LuigiMPTT100.png. Jack O'Goomba and Greaper still need attention, though. We'll get 'em next time!

And now onto this month's focuses:

Article Category Focuses
King Kong
Wanted article
This one was too funny to pass up. King Kong has some interesting history with Mario, Universal actually unsuccessfully sued Nintendo over perceived similarities in Donkey Kong, but did you know that the ape himself actually appeared - and was kidnapped by the Koopa Troop - in Mario is Missing!? Well, just like Mario, poor King Kong's article is also missing.
Flipflap
Stub article
The section for Flipflap's latest appearance to date, DK: Jungle Climber, is driving me a little bit batty. Where do they specifically appear, and how do they behave? Are there any notable differences from King of Swing we should know about?
Paper Mario: The Origami King bestiary
Rewrite and expansion required
It's been three years since The Origami King was released, but the enemy bestiary is still incomplete and missing the damage dealt by a lot of attacks. It's not the easiest of tasks, unfortunately, otherwise it would've been done by now. It'll require some digging through the game's internal files to find the exact totals, but we'd really appreciate it if you could help us complete this!
Golden Drink
Articles that need more images
Shiny characters sure are neat, don't you think? Unfortunately, we're still missing images of almost half of the playable cast of Super Mario Party under the effects of the Golden Drink, including Mario himself! A full set would be golden.
File:PMTTYD Green Magikoopa Sprite.png
Image quality requested
Either this Magikoopa increased their size with magic, or this sprite assembly is a bit too big. My money's on the latter. Getting a proper sprite rip from The Thousand-Year Door and reassembling it from scratch would be very appreciated!
King Boo's Crown
Citation needed
It's a pretty straightforward name, but we don't actually know if King Boo's Crown is called, uh, King Boo's Crown. If there's no source for it, we'll have to mark it as a conjectural name. Here's a hint: it's a collectible in the first Luigi's Mansion, so that's probably a good place to look.

Now just before I leave you, I'd like to tell you about unimplemented proposals. There are currently thirty-seven that need to be implemented, dating as far back as 2018, so think of this as a continuous Spotlight goal until they're all completed. Additionally, there are many unresolved discussions that we would love to see come to some sort of conclusion. Some might have already concluded and just need the template removed, others have been waiting for a response for years.

Thanks for tuning in to the newest edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! Be sure to turn up next month, where we'll be reviewing the progress on the above focuses. If you have any questions or suggestions about this month's set of the article focuses, then please get in touch through the dedicated topic if you have a forum account. If not, then please contact Yoshi876 on his talk page, but you are far more likely to get a quick response if you go through the forums. You are also welcome to make suggestions on what you think we could focus on in our next edition! Thank you, and good luck!
