Goomba Bros. a.k.a the Hoppin' Hardheads, and later the Meteorite Hardheads, are a group of five Goombas encountered in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are the first opponents Mario challenges in Glitz Pit, where they are known as the "Meteorite Hardheads."
Like most other fighters, they brag about how good they are and talk trash. However, they are simply Goombas and the weakest enemies in the Glitz Pit. The Goomba Bros. prove to be cheaters, taking a swing at Mario before the fight even begins, resulting in an unavoidable first strike at Mario. The Goomba Bros. then say it was a warm up for Mario and he should be thanking them.
The Goomba Bros. are ranked 19th in the Glitz Pit but will be ranked 20th when Mario (known as The Great Gonzales) defeats them.

- In Super Paper Mario, the Goomba Bros. are referenced when Mimi disguised as Merlee says that her favorite hobby is "Watching rerun shows of the Super Ultra Goomba Bros."
- This could also be a reference to the Koopa Bros., as in Bowser's Castle they say that they are now the Super Ultra Koopa Bros. the Great.
