Super Mario World

(Bridges in Butter Bridge 2)

Bridges return in Super Mario World. It first appears in Butter Bridge 1. It later appears in Butter Bridge 2, appearing in most of the level.

Bridges are a placeable part in Super Mario Maker 2. It is found in the terrain section in the Course Maker, only found in all the 2D styles. Bridges act like Semisolid Platforms, except that no other Terrain object can overlap it. In the Course Maker, the player can extend or narrow the bridge to a minimum of 3 tiles or a maximum of around 8 tiles. When placed, it is set to a length of 3 tiles. In the Super Mario World style in the Forest theme, they will look like log bridges. In any other theme, it will look like a normal bridge. Like Semisolid Platforms, two can’t overlap on the same tile with the semisolid (the part that the player can stand on) part, though it is allowed to place them next to each other or on top of each other. Bridges are used in some courses as normal bridges to use as decoration. The player can also use bridges as platforms to get across Pits. In the New Super Mario Bros. U style, they have lots of colors, but in the Super Mario Bros. 3 style, every bridge is the same.
