Match & Win!
Match & Win! is a minigame in the World Maker mode in Super Mario Maker 2. It can be played by placing a green Toad House with a Super Star on its roof and entering the Toad House on the world map.
Gameplay[edit]
This minigame is directly based on the Spade Panel minigame from Super Mario Bros. 3; the player must press 
to stop each of the three spinning reels so that they form a picture. Matching all three reels to form a picture of a certain item causes a number of 1-Up Mushrooms to appear from the doors of the Toad House, rewarding the player with extra lives: Making a Super Mushroom grants the player one life, making a Fire Flower gives three lives, and making a Super Star gives five lives. If the player fails to make any of those, the Toad House generates the resulting picture as an object and no lives are awarded. After Match & Win! is played, the Toad House disappears.
Unlike the original Spade Panel minigame, where an arbitrary amount of delay time is added before each reel starts slowing down, Match & Win! is completely deterministic: When the player presses to stop a certain reel, it always cycles through all of the pictures once, then quickly snaps into place, remaining on the picture that was in the center-most portion of the reel at the moment was pressed. Thus, the player can guarantee receiving a certain number of extra lives simply by pressing when the desired picture lines up with the center of each reel.

The music played during the minigame is the theme that plays in the Spade Panel and N-Mark Spade Panel minigames in the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 3; however, the guitar used for the melody cuts off each note much more quickly than in the original theme.
