This article is about the shops in the Mario RPG games. For the Item Shops in the Mario Party series, see Item Shop (Mario Party series). For the shop in Wario Land 4, see Item Shop (Wario Land 4).

Item Shops, also known as Tool Shops[1], are places where the people of the Mushroom Kingdom and various other locations, can buy and sell items and accessories. These appear in most Mario-based RPG games. Various characters and heroes also purchase weapons and armors at Item Shops.

Most Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and Paper Mario series shops are designated with a Fire Flower or Mushroom sign. An exception to this rule is Storehouse and Itty Bits.
