A Drain Pipe in Mario Kart 7

Drain Pipes[1][page number needed] are stage obstacles in 3DS Piranha Plant Slide in Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Mario Kart Tour. They are Warp Pipes that well waterfalls. The Warp Pipe itself merely serves as an obstruction, but the waterfall can cancel the gliding of any player that passes under it, sending them into the pit below. All three Drain Pipes in the course appear just after the Glide Ramp.

In Mario Kart Tour, players are unaffected by the Drain Pipes' water. In addition, unlike most Warp Pipes in the game, Drain Pipes cannot be hit to obtain points.
