In all versions of Mario is Missing!, some coins are stolen from the fountain by marauding Koopa Troopas, which forces the fountain to close to visitors. When Luigi visits Rome, he must defeat a Koopa carrying the coins, return them to the Trevi Fountain's information booth, and prove their authenticity by answering various questions (listed below). Afterward, he is given $1500 as a reward.
