Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is the follow-up to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. This is the second collaboration with Nintendo and Sega under license from the International Olympic Committee (to correspond with the Vancouver Winter Olympics, scheduled for 2010). The game itself will feature the hosting cities of the games, Vancouver and Whistler[1]. Like their previous installment, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will be developed and released for both the Wii and DS in late 2009. Major details for this game are still currently unknown at this time, however it has been confirmed that the Wii version will use the Wii Remote controls, as well as the Wii Balance Board. The game will feature exclusive modes that will be exclusively on the Wii and DS versions. The Wii version will feature a Festival mode while the DS version will feature Adventure Tour, a single player with quests and bosses from both universes. [2]
As with the game's predecessor, Sega will handle publishing/marketing duties for territories outside of Japan, while Nintendo will handle publishing/marketing duties for Japan itself.
