Plum, Mario Golf 64

Template:Character-infobox

Plum is an amateur golfer who appears in the sports title Mario Golf. She is one of the first playable golfers in the game. Plum is not one of the strongest golfers out on the links. As such, she cannot drive the ball very far. However, Plum makes up for her lack of power with technique. She is able to control the ball and put it where it needs to be.

Plum is considered to be well balanced golfer. Thus she is a suitable choice for beginners. However, her great control also makes her a top choice among experienced players. She was replaced by Princess Daisy in later titles, making Mario Golf 64 her only playable appearance.

Additionally, a trophy is modeled in Plum's likeness in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but Plum is the only generic golfer with a trophy. Plum recently appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as a sticker that raises attack power by five.

Physical Description and Traits

Plum is a young girl with round, brown eyes. She has two mid-length brown pigtails. She wears a blue T-shirt with a red collar around it. She also wears one golfer glove on her left hand. Finally, she wears black shorts and white tennis shoes.

Character Interactions

Princess Peach

Main article: Princess Peach

In Mario Golf, Plum and Peach were partners. She was in the intro along with Mario, Luigi, and Peach. They were shown golfing together. Since Daisy replaced Plum, it is possible Plum had a good relation with Peach just like Daisy does.

Plum is one of the first playable golfers in Mario Golf. She's not all that strong, so her drives tend to lack distance. On the other hand, her strike area is large and allows for refined control. She's a very stable golfer, both well balanced and easy to master, which makes her a favorite among beginners and pros alike.
