Star Kids are young stars that appear in Paper Mario. These young stars are born in Starborn Valley, where they are raised by a group of Ninji. Once they have eventually matured, they ascend towards Star Haven to join the other Star Kids and the Star Spirits. In Paper Mario, they tried to prevent Mario from entering their village by creating a creature called Monstar. When it was defeated, the Star Kids realized Mario was good and allowed him to enter the village.
