Camelot was originally known as '''Sega CD4''' and '''Sonic! Software Planning''', and it was responsible for Sega's ''{{wp|Shining (series)|Shining}}'' series. Since the development of ''{{wp|Shining Force III}}'', Camelot has renamed itself to its current name; additionally, due to Sega's failure of the Sega Saturn, after ''Shining Force III'', Camelot has moved to Nintendo and has been developing ''[[Mario Tennis (series)|Mario Tennis]]'', ''[[Mario Golf (series)|Mario Golf]]'', and ''[[GoldenSun:Golden Sun (series)|Golden Sun]]'' games since. The music for these series was composed by [[Motoi Sakuraba]], a long-time collaborator of Camelot also known for his musical work in Bandai Namco's ''Dark Souls'' and ''Tales'' series.
