In "The Ghoul of my Dreams", Mario is watching Elvira host the Movie Macabre on TV, when he falls asleep and starts having a dream. In his dream, Elvira appears and is being held down by a mummy. Mario eventually saves Elvira from the mummy, who turns out to be [[Luigi]]. Elvira thinks that the whole thing is too weird, and leaves. When Mario wakes up, he sees Elvira on TV, and she delivers a message directly to him: "Goodnight, Mario. And unpleasant dreams!"
