The players approach the stump and lift their axes in preparation.

==Gameplay==
Players try to be the first to split the log that [[Whittle]] puts on the trunk in half by quickly moving the [[Wii Remote]]. Occasionally, the Whittle may put a [[Bob-omb]] on the stump instead of a log, and players must press {{button|wii|A}} to duck. Failing to do so or chopping the Bob-omb results in players being stunned for the next round. The first player to get three points wins, and the game will immediately end; this means that the other players will be ranked, based on how many logs they've chopped.

In [[Perspective Mode]], players view the minigame from behind their character.
