Movie]]''. It is named after the [[Nintendo]] game series ''{{wp|Punch-Out!!}}''. Many pictures of opponents from the ''Punch-Out!!'' series can be seen on the restaurant's walls, as well as a painting of a duck from ''{{wp|Duck Hunt}}''.

The restaurant first appears near the beginning of the film, where [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] view their commercial for [[Super Mario Bros. Plumbing]] on a television on the wall, as [[Giuseppe]] plays a game on an arcade cabinet titled ''Jumpman'', which is based on the ''[[Donkey Kong (game)|Donkey Kong]]'' arcade game. Punch-Out Pizzeria is also where [[Foreman Spike]] appears in the film for the first time, as he insults Mario and Luigi and claims that their plumbing business will fail.

Punch-Out Pizzeria appears again near the end of the film, where Bowser punches Mario into the building, leaving him in a defeated state. The television malfunctions as it plays the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing commercial again, causing Mario's voice in the commercial to repeatedly tell Mario to "save Brooklyn". This inspires Mario to leave the building and challenge Bowser.
