A Pocket Chomp is a Chain Chomp inside a small capsule. It is a Bros. Item in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Upon use, the Chain Chomp will break free and chase the adult Mario Bros. As they are being chased, they jump on the enemy until it is disposed of, if the Action Command is missed, or if the Chain Chomp hits the bro. - The Pocket Chomp seems to be related to the Chain Chomp Item from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! as it is an item used by Baby Mario or Baby Luigi.
- The Pocket Chomp could possibly be a reference to the Poké Ball from the Pokémon series, as the Chain Chomp is released out of a small red lidded ball shaped capsule.
- In the tutorial at the top, Luigi was jumping, but Baby Mario was at the bottom with the hammer.
