Would it be worth noting that this song seems to be a soundalike of "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five? I don't have any concrete proof, but given that "Thrills at Night" is also a specific song pastiche, I could see that being the case for this one too. i was skeptical before checking it out, but... damn, no, that's very much a pastiche of "The Message"! even if it's not an intentional reference (which i doubt), it sounds too close not to mention. makes me wonder if the other two are supposed to be soundalikes too? — Super Leaf stamp from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.eviemaybe (talk / contributions) 22:42, August 5, 2025 (EDT)
"M-A-X Power!" sounds very close to Initial D, and is even named after one of their songs. The Japanese name, Voltage MAX (in English) might be a reference to a popular J-eurobeat band called MAX. "Heartbeat Skipper" I'm not sure if it's a pastiche of anything, sounds like generic 70s disco. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 23:20, August 5, 2025 (EDT)
