| :I'm just going off of the consensus that I've observed from the vast majority of trans people that I've heard from and spoken to (side note: I myself am nonbinary). I have met other trans people who've used "transwoman" to refer to themselves, but I've met far more people who view it (and, by extension, "transman") as derogatory, since it's widely associated with the TERF talking point that trans women aren't ''real'' women and consequently have to be categorized separately.
