In regards to this proposal, may I ask why you support giving the paper enemies separate articles but not the shiny enemies? 17:58, 15 September 2017 (EDT)

:May I ask why splitting the shiny variants would be too much? Keep in mind we have already split pages like Gritty Goomba and Gritty Goomba, among others, due to the two species having different appearances and different stats. 19:03, 15 September 2017 (EDT)

::We don't necessarily need a monolithic, set-in-stone policy page to decide how things work; a policy page won't be able to cover every single nuance in the games, especially as the franchise comes up with new ideas and throws new gimmicks at us. At the same time, through proposals like these, we can create a precedent that can then be followed for future articles. Proposals give us freedom that a policy page may not give us. With that in mind, we've already had proposals that decided to not merge the Gritty Goombas and not merge the "R" version of enemies, so I don't see why this should be any different. 19:13, 15 September 2017 (EDT)
