Hey! It looks like you uploaded two duplicate images. I see you're trying to replace File:Mario.jpg as well. You can't delete images; you need to put a tag delete
into the article page and then one of sysops will take care of that. In the meantime, there's a list of pages File:Mario.jpg is linked to, so you want to check those pages and replace the files with the one you uploaded. That way, when the image is deleted, it won't leave behind broken red links. Thank you for uploading, and make sure you review our help pages or ask any questions if you have them! Mario-HOHO! Uploads[edit]
Hello, when uploading, please note that it should have a license and category. I suggest uploading from Special:Upload next time instead of the text editor's uploader as it's easier to do this. Otherwise, please type the following in the description if it's not tied to a particular game:
==Licensing== character-artwork
If the image is from a specific game, the category should be replaced with the appropriate game category (e.g. "Category:Mario Tennis Aces Images" - go through the subcategories Category:MarioWiki images to find the right one). For images that aren't character artwork, see here for other licenses available (though as I said, it's easier to upload from Special:Upload since you only need to select from a drop-down menu). Hello, Shinespritegamer. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:
When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use character-artwork. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, Shinespritegamer. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Please review what I said on your old talk page. Can you also provide a source for your image?
I also still need a response from my post above. Mario JC 22:05, July 20, 2021 (EDT)
