Rawks[1] are enemies in Donkey Kong Country Returns and its port. Rawks can be found in the Jungle world, the Ruins, and the Golden Temple, as well as the Cloud world in the port only. Their name comes from the bird, hawk. Rawks are the larger, red-feathered variant of Awks, also sporting purple talons and yellow feathers on their back. When a Rawk notices Donkey Kong, it charges at him and attempts to injure him. Like Awks, they can also be defeated by being jumped on, or by utilizing any other attack method. Unlike Awks, Rawks can survive a shot from Diddy's peanuts, and are stunned only after being shot.
