Slippas are enemies in Donkey Kong Country. Slippas move by slithering on the ground. Slippas can be defeated from any attack, including being rolled into, jumped on, or from a barrel. A Slippa makes a hissing noise when defeated. In Misty Mine, Slippas are released in indefinite numbers from some black drums. In the boss stage Boss Dumb Drum, Slippas are the second pair of enemies released by Dumb Drum.

In the Game Boy Advance version, the Kongs can obtain a photograph of Slippa by rolling into three of them in a row.

Donkey Kong Country novel

A single Slippa appears as a minor antagonist in the Donkey Kong Country novel. As the Kongs explore the Abandoned Mines, Slippa and Army ambush the group. Slippa proclaims that "thessse minesss are oursss" and attempts to attack Diddy, but Diddy stomps him with a double jump. Slippa then escapes back into the darkness.

Donkey Kong Land

Slippas were given the ability to slide down ropes in Donkey Kong Land

Slippas are enemies in Donkey Kong Land. They appear in many more levels and in a wider variety of environments than before, including mines, jungles, and skyscrapers. Slippas sometimes pop out of baskets. In Riggin' Rumble and Skyscraper Caper, Slippas slither down the ropes until they reach the bottom. These Slippas can only be defeated by a thrown barrel.
