- —Magmite, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Magmites are rock-shelled Buzzy Beetles from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, that are encountered in the Moleville Mines. As they don't have any special attack, they attack by headbonking Mario and his allies. Magmites have high defense compared to their low HP, and they are strong against Mario's Jumps. They have a weakness to thunder and ice, so an Ice Bomb, or Mallow's Snowy or Thunderbolt, works well against them.
They have a stronger relative, called Magmus, found in Barrel Volcano. A similarly rock-shelled beetle known as Stone Buzzy later appeared in Super Paper Mario.
