Flying Fish are aquatic creatures that appear in Wario Land II. They usually leap out of the water, similar to Cheep Cheeps of the Mario series. They are depicted with gazing eyeballs and their mouths are wide open, showing their disproportionally huge incisors. They are brown in the Game Boy Color-enhanced re-release. Though Flying Fish are absent from Wario Land 3, another enemy, resembling a Tadpole, adapts its behavior.
History
Wario Land II
Flying Fish are encountered as enemies during the events of Wario Land II. Wario first encounters them in his castle after the Black Sugar Gang has flooded his entire home. Whenever they appear, they usually jump out of the water and collide with Wario, bouncing him backwards. This can sometimes cause Wario to lose his footing and fall into the water.
