The Monster is a monster truck used by Mario and Luigi in Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally. It was seen as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee and had a cameo in Super Mario Bros. & Friends: When I Grow Up. Monster is slower than the other two car types, but it had more durability than the other vehicles. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it appeared as a Sticker that raised launch resistance by four. Nintendo used Monster's design as the basis for the Tiny Titan in Mario Kart Wii.

This rally car tore up dirt and raced through uncharted lands in the Disk System game 3D Hot Rally. While it wasn't as fast as the other two car types, it had super-strong shocks to deal with horrible roads and other obstacles. Mario and Luigi are in command of this car, although they don't show themselves in the game very often.
