Returning to this episode will allow the player to use F.L.U.D.D. and do a [[Red Coin]] challenge. On the second green platform is the [[Red Coin Switch]], and [[Ground Pound]]ing it will cause eight Red Coins to appear on the path ahead and on the sand castle. The player has a time limit of one minute to collect them all; failing to do so will result in losing a life. Three of the Red Coins are along the Sand Block path, with the next five scattered around the sand castle. Collecting all eight Red Coins will have the Shine Sprite appear at the base of the sand castle.

Template:Missionbox Dune Bud Sand Castle Secret is the first episode of Gelato Beach in Super Mario Sunshine. The objective is to collect the Shine Sprite at the end of a secret course.

Layout

In order to enter the secret course, the player must first reveal it. By spraying a Dune Bud directly in front of the beach's peninsula, a large sand castle gate will appear out of the sand. The player then needs to run or dive into the gate before it falls apart, in which case the player would have to spray the Dune Bud again. Entering the gate will transport Mario to the secret course, along with Shadow Mario taking F.L.U.D.D. away as usual.
