Hello readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to Spotlight. Spotlight is a community project which aims to fix up the articles on the wiki which have issues. These issues can range from poor writing, to a lack of images, to even just needing a credible source.
Last month, I announced a change to the sort of things that would get regularly featured on Spotlight, and thankfully despite the change it didn't seem to have a massive effect on our success rate, as it stands at 50/50. TheFlameChomp (talk) created Level 1-2, however almost all of the game's level still haven't been created, hopefully in the coming months they will be; Nourman (talk) and Shy Guy on Wheels (talk) removed all of the excess trivia on Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, and Baby Luigi (talk) removed all excess trivia from the other pages that were in the Trivia category; and Alex95 (talk) and LuigiMaster123 (talk) found a reliable reference for Ice Mario (Super Mario Galaxy), Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) added further information to the point.
However, just because the other focuses weren't fully completed, it doesn't mean they were entries failures. The only untouched focus was File:Chain Chomp NSMBW.png, however Eldritchdraaks (talk) has informed me that they will be working on the image quality category, either by removing images that have been incorrectly tagged, or fixing the poor quality. Rescue Squad V had some further information added by Daboi (talk), although the page is still missing the majority of relevant information. Meanwhile, Mario Bros. (stage) had a lot of additional information added by Sgt Jack V (talk). In fact, someone who is familiar with all the games featured might want to give it a once over, as it's possible that all the relevant information has been added.
And now onto this month's focuses:
Article | Category | Focuses |
---|---|---|
Wario's item of choice in Mario Kart Arcade GP may be disgusting, but there's no reason that this item shouldn't have a place on out wiki. | ||
If you only cast a cursory eye over this article, it would look alright, maybe a little bit barren, but not missing any major information. However, it could be massively improved with some tables detailing where each individual Character Coins can be found, don't you think? | ||
A fairly simple citation focus for this month. All we need to do to remove the tag is add what page number in the Prima guide for New Super Mario Bros. Wii calls it a Propellerhead. | ||
Maybe the person who was going to add the image to this article wiped out before they were able to. But whatever the reason, this article needs an image from both the original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and its recent remake. | ||
The Winter Olympics are currently taking place in Pyeongchang, but even though this image is from the 2012 Summer Olympics, you can still barely make out who it is. Hopefully we can get a fix before the closing ceremony of this Winter Olympics. | ||
Let's hope that now is "Game Over" for this image tag. I'm aware that many of the missing images are from obscure games, but let's try and get this article all finished up. |
Thanks for tuning in to the newest edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! Be sure to turn up next month, where we'll be reviewing the progress on the above focuses. If you have any questions or suggestions about this month's set of article focuses, then please get in touch through the dedicated topic if you have a forum account. If not, then please contact myself on my wiki talk page. You are also welcome to make suggestions on what you think we could focus on in our next edition. Thank you, and good luck!
