The Scarf is an item in the PC release of Mario's Time Machine. It is the school scarf of the University of Lille. As an unnamed waiter is talking about how Louis Pasteur used to teach at the university with Mario in 1885 Paris, he decides to give Mario his own scarf while also inviting him to visit it at some point. Meanwhile, at the nearby university, Pierre Paul Emile Roux is complaining about being cold, and the Scarf can be given to him. After receiving the Scarf, he thanks Mario, wears it, and continues to talk about his work with Louis Pasteur.
