Template:Minigame-infobox Pair of Aces is a Bowser Jr. minigame in Mario Party 9. This has similar controls as the minigame Gun the Runner, from Mario Party 8.
Introduction
Laughing, Bowser Jr. flies in his Junior Clown Car by a cloud, then into a clearer area. The players both fire their cannons, but Bowser Jr. dodges by moving in a circle.
Gameplay
The pair must try to shoot Bowser Jr. with cannonballs three times before time runs out. Bowser Jr. will evade the cannonballs in one of several patterns, such as circles or zigzags. Occasionally, he will shoot a fireball, which if not dodged, will prevent a player from firing for several seconds. Whenever a player hits Bowser Jr, he loses a heart, and gains temporary invincibility. When he is down to one heart, he begins sweating profusely. If the players fail to hit Bowser Jr. three times in 30 seconds, Bowser Jr. is victorious.
Ending
If the players are victorious, Bowser Jr. and his Junior Clown Car will fall, spiraling, off the screen.
